The National Endowment for the Humanities has awarded COVID-19 relief grants to eight universities and organizations.
The money is to be used to recover from the economic burdens caused by the pandemic.
These funds will assist humanities programs and institutions in their reopening efforts, as well as support the humanities workforce.
The awards are made possible through funding included in the American Rescue Plan.
In our region, the Allen County Historical Society in Lima will receive $50,000.
