Obituary for Betty A. Schwemer

Betty A. Schwemer of Kenton, age 75, passed away July 6, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay surrounded by her family.

Betty was born May 16, 1947 in Delphos, Ohio to Leroy and Caroline Klaus.

She is survived by her husband, David J. Schwemer of Kenton, her children, Mark B. Schwemer (wife Paula), and John A. Schwemer (wife Chassie), and grandchildren Josie
Schwemer, Callie Schwemer, Gage White, and Nash White. Also surviving is a brother, Ron Klaus (Pat), and a sister, Nancy Klaus, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry Klaus.

Betty graduated from St. Johns High School in Delphos and then from St. Rita’s Nursing School in Lima.

Betty was a registered nurse and worked for St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima and Hardin Memorial Hospital in Kenton. Before retiring, she worked as a nurse at Hardin County
Council on Aging. Betty served on the board of the Hardin County District Library and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

She dearly loved her family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hardin County Community Foundation.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 – 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at the Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home, Kenton. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Schindewolf-Stout-Crates Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
