The Hardin County Family YMCA offers a number of programs designed to help senior citizens maintain a healthy lifestyle,

Silver Sneakers Program Director Beth Wetherill talked about why the programs are important, “We need to keep moving. They say that sitting is the new smoking, that we sit too much and that with our phones and our electronics and everything and our jobs that probably is true, so get and move as much as you can and keep those muscles working, keep that body moving and stay healthy for as long as you can because we’re living a lot longer too.”
