Kenton Girls Varsity Soccer ties Tiffin 3 – 3

In a back and forth match, the Kenton Wildcat Girls Soccer Team came from behind to tie their final scrimmage of the preseason against Tiffin Columbian. Tiffin jumped out to a 2 goal lead in the first half when Freshman Ellie Minter netted her first of two goals on the evening off of a pass from Senior Emma Hougendobler. Moments later, Hougendobler sent a long ball to Senior Kinze Sprang who found the back of the net to even the score going into halftime. Tiffin started the scroing off in the second half to take the lead 3-2 until Sprang connected with Minter for the equalizer. 

Senior Ruby Styer collected several saves throughout the game in goal with Senior Chloe Hattery, Senior Mia Musser, Junior Reese Mckinniss, and Freshman Marlee Gammon all playing a strong defensive game against a talented offensive team.

The Girls Soccer Team will start their regular season play next Tuesday, August 20th at home against Benjamin Logan. Kickoff is set for 7pm.
