Investigation Underway Following Fatal Semi Truck Accident in Marion County

A Piqua man was killed in a crash that occurred late Sunday morning on Mount Olive-Agosta Road in Marion County.

According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 69-year-old Gerald R. Mertz lost control of the semi he was operating, and it traveled off the right side of the road and overturned on its top.

Mertz was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
