Kenton and Wapak tie 1-1 in WBL clash at Merold Field

On a night where they celebrated Coach Bartlett’s 25 years of coaching at Kenton the Wildcats battled back and drew with Wapak 1-1.  With the tie Kenton is now 4-4-3 (1-3-2 WBL). Wapak scored first 15 minutes into the game when a long distance shot found the back of the net against run of play.  The scored stayed that way until 15 minutes into the 2nd half when Marlon Lopez found Gus Wingfield to make knot the score at one apiece.  Despite advangages in shots and possessions the Wildcats weren’t able to find the game winner.  Kenton outshot Wapak 7-1 and had 10 corners to 2 for Wapak.  The duo of Ayson Scott and Hayden Holland combined for one save in goal.  

The JV cats moved to 3-4-2 on the year with a 0-0 tie against Wapak.  Hayden Holland with shutout in goal in the one half contest.  

Cats are back in action Thursday when they travel to Bowling Green.  JV kicks off at 5 followed by the varsity at 7.
