A Findlay man was killed and two others were injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred around 9:15 Monday night in the area of US 68 and Township Road 114 in Pleasant Township.
According to a release from Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart, a vehicle being driven by Lee Newman, of Dunkirk, was traveling northbound and went off the left side of the road where it struck a tree.
A front seat passenger, identified as James Hagenbuch, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A backseat passenger, Douglas Inmon, of Dunkirk, was flown to Ohio State University Hospital in Columbus with suspected serious injuries.
Newman was transported to a local hospital with suspected minor injuries and was later flown to a different hospital for additional care.
Assisting the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were Kenton Fire Department, BKP EMS, McGuffey Fire Department, Lifeflight, Careflight, Medflight, the Hardin County Coroner’s Office, the Multi-County Crash Team, and Osborn’s Towing and Recovery.
The crash remains under investigation.
