Kenton girls basketball win their WBL opener tonight by a score of 65-47. The Lady Cats were led by Sid Payne with 18 points. Macee Heckathorn scored 15 points while Brylee Bostelman had 11 and Sadie Larabee finished with 10 points. Kyla Bostater scored 5 points, Liv Nolting had 4 and Alexis Ratliff rounded out the scoring with 2 points. Shawnee was led by Morgan Betts and Ava Gadson with 10 points each. Kamryn Morris scored 8 points and Brynn Patterson had 6. The Lady Wildcats move to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in WBL play. They are back in action next Thursday at OG for another WBL battle.
The JV contest was won by Shawnee 39-30. Shawnee was led by Haileigh Stump with 13 points while Aubrey Heitmeyer scored 12. The Cats were led by Jazlynn Long with 10 points. Kaiden Gammon, Lilly Carmean, and Allyson Rhinehart each scored 4 points. Lyla Gammon and Taylor Barlow rounded out the scoring with 3 points each.
