Kenton 8th grade boys ran into a buzz saw Thursday night when they met Lima Shawnee. Their coach mentioned prior to the game they were 0-9 from the 3 point line in their first game but they torched our nets making 6.
That was a major difference in the game being that the Wildcats were 0 for 7 from 3 point range. For the Cats Tanner Butcher led the team in scoring with 14 followed by Xavier Gammon with 12. Both Butcher and Gammon also led in rebounds with 5 each while Layton Hijma had 2. Parker Osborn had 4 assists. Gammon forced 2 turnovers and Osborn 1.
Kenton returns to action Saturday when they travel to Bellefontaine.
