Two people were arrested early this morning for allegedly attempting to enter vehicles in Kenton.
According to a release from the Kenton Police Department, at around 2 this (Friday) officers responded to a report about two subjects attempting to enter vehicles, in the 600 block of South Wayne Street in the city.
Officers responded and began to pursue the suspects west, through the area of Waterworks Park and eventually toward the area of South Leighton and Park Avenue.
The pursuit continued and both suspects were eventually taken into custody in the area of South Leighton and Robinson Avenue.
One of the subjects, nineteen-year-old Brad Jacques of Kenton was held and later transported to Marion Multi County Jail for several outstanding warrants.
Jacques was also charged with possessing criminal tools, obstructing official business, criminal trespass, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of drug abuse instruments.
The other suspect, a sixteen-year-old male was also held and later transported to Wood County Juvenile Detention Center.
The juvenile in this case has been previously arrested and charged for similar offences that occurred in the city and both males are suspected in a string of recent vehicle break ins and thefts in the city.
KPD was assisted in the arrests by Deputies from The Hardin County Sheriff’s Office.
