Kenton Boys 8th Basketball beats Elida 31 – 16

The Kenton Boys 8th grade basketball team beat Elida Thursday night for their first win of the season. It was a tremendous turnaround being the same team beat them as 7th graders 41-5.

The Widcats were led by Tanner Butcher with 14 followed by Xavier Gammon with 11. Butcher led the Wildcats in rebounds with 8 with Gammon adding 7. Parker Osborn, Issac Gordon, and Luke Doenges all had 3. Osborn and Gammon each dished out 2 assists, while Doenges, Butcher, and Zaidyn Wyomic all added 1. Osborn forced 2 turnovers, Kayne Bushong, Gordon, Wyomic, and Butcher all forced 1.

It was a complete team effort especially on the defensive side of the ball.
