The Cats defeated Wapak Thursday night 5-1 and improved to 8-1-1 (4-0-1 WBL) on the year. The Cats outshot Wapak 12-3 in the contest. Wapak scored early in the contest for a 1-0 lead. Another time of strong serving credits Kenton win over Lima Senior in 3 sets (25-15,25-15, 25-10) The Wildcats served 96% on the night. Brynn Butler lead defense with 7 receptions and 12 digs. Brinley Hites 9 receptions and 4 digs. Riley Totten came up with 9 digs. Attacks led by Sadie Larrabee with 10 kills, Macee Heckathorn 7 kills, Morgan Lyons 5 kills and Cailyn Hopkins 5 kills. The Wildcats and Redskins battled hard tonight but neither team could find the back of the net. Each team had several good opportunities but both defenses and goalies kept the game scoreless. The JV girls took home the win tonight with a 3-0 score in the half game. Kenton returns home on Monday to take on St Marys for senior night. The JV will play at 6 with the Varsity at 7.
Hardin Northern Boys Golf Defeats Arlignton at Sycamore Springs Golf Course.
Justin Thiel, HN Hardin Northern had a match with Arlington at Sycamore Springs Golf Course. Hardin Northern shot a 218 to Arlington's 245. Medalist was Hardin Northern's Justin Thiel with a 44. Preston Grappy for Hardin Northern shot a 47. Hardin Northern is 7-4 for the year.
