PUCO Adopts Additional Utility Disconnection Protections

COLUMBUS, OHIO (July 12, 2023) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today ordered Ohio’s investor-owned electric and natural gas utilities to suspend disconnections of customers for nonpayment if the customer has a pending application for various energy assistance programs.   Specifically, utilities will be prohibited from disconnecting for nonpayment for 30 days after a customer has applied for Winter and Summer Crisis programs, Home Energy Assistance Programs (HEAP), or the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP). 11th Annual Polar Bear Legacy Held

The 11th annual Polar Bear Legacy golf outing was held July 8 at Memorial Park Golf Course. Eighteen teams competed in the event, and all proceeds go to the HN Scholarship Foundation. This year four HN seniors earned Polar Bear Legacy Scholarships, one earned a Norma Bibler Scholarship, and three earned Robert Wildman Scholarships. The 172nd Wyandot County Fair is set to kick off on September 11th and run through the 16th. According to the Wyandot County Fair the 2023 Premium books are now available for pickup.
