The Wildcats out hit the Bulldogs but fall short in the WBL match up Saturday afternoon.  Kenton fell behind 5-0 after 3 innings but fought back scoring one run in the 4th inning on a solo home run over the left field fence by Kyle Thrush. Kenton Girls Varsity Softball falls to Lima Central Catholic 6 – 5

The Wildcats fell to LCC with a hard fought battle at the end of the game. Riley Totten tripled scoring to help tie the game at 4 after Cailyn Brown and Macee Heckathorn both pushed in runs. Brailyn Thacker and Brynn Butler both had hits for the Wildcats as well. Brynn worked hard on the mound all 8 innings with 10 strike outs.

The Kenton Girls had several encouraging performances at Tuesday Night's first home meet. The Kenton Boys had a great home meet Tuesday Night. Kenton Boys Varsity Baseball beats Elgin Local Schools 11 – 2

The Wildcats put Elgin away in 5 innings, led by a stellar all around performance from Kyle Thrush. Kenton jumped on Elgin early and never gave up the lead from there. Leading off the game was Grady Kleman-Beazley with line drive single to left field, who made it to third after two stole bases. Kenton Girls Varsity Softball beats Elgin Local Schools 19 – 4

Kenton Wildcat Softball had hot bats tonight with a total of 14 hits all of which each girl on the team contributed. The Butler sisters and Emiily Pees each had 3 hits and CJ Newberry had two hits for the night. The Wildcat defense stayed tough as the girls made their way through the game. The softball fun was running through the veins of the girls on the team as they pushed past Elgin in 5 innings.

The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Kenton is assisting the family with arrangements. He was born on March 20, 1959, in Kenton to the late Franklin A. Holcomb and Ruby (Baum) Piper.
