Kenton City Council’s 4th Regular Session of 2024

Kenton City Council met for their 4th regular session of 2024 Monday evening. During the proceedings two ordinances and a resolution were passed. Ordinance 24-004 allows for additional appropriations and transferring of funds so the city can fix a traffic light pole that was struck on the corner of Detroit and Franklin. Four Wildcat Wrestlers Qualify for Districts

Kenton was well represented at the division two sectional wrestling tournament at Clyde High School this past Saturday. Four of the seven wrestlers that entered the contest made the podium and qualified for districts at Norwalk to continue chasing there dreams to make it to State. Kenton took a trip to St. Marys for a tournament matchup against the Roughriders Thursday evening. It was a close game for the first three quarters but St. Marys was able to pull away in the fourth for a 65-54 victory. RIverdale Takes Down Arlington

Riverdale took a trip down the road to Arlington for a girls high school basketball tournament game Wednesday evening. Riverdale closed the first half on a 15-0 run.
