Kenton Girls Varsity Softball falls to Defiance 12 – 0

The Lady Cats had trouble keeping up with Defiance in a 12-0 loss on Thursday. Taighen Zipfel was the winning pitcher for Defiance. Zipfel surrendered zero runs on one hit over seven innings, striking out nine and walking zero. Brynn Butler went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead Lady Wildcats. The wildcats are back in action tomorrow night at Home vs Perry.

First Place Finishers: Avery Smith: Pole Vault, 300H, 100H Tatum Miller: Shot, Disc Addi Manns: 3200, 4x8 Quinlyn Spearman: 800, 4x8 Delaney Buxton: 400, 4x8 Leah Harder: 4x8 The girls 4x8 including Addi Manns, Quinlyn Spearman, Delaney Buxton and Leah Harder broke the 4x8 record. The previous record was held by D. Sharp, L. Weaver, J. Cross, and K. Whitker with a time of 10:46.9. Manns, Spearman, Buxton and Harder ran a 10:34.08! Great job ladies!
