Hardin County Historical Museums, Inc. Hardin County Historical Museums announced a new free monthly speaker series. It will be held on the last Thursday of every month. February's topic will feature Ray Brown, as the Museum celebrates Black History Month. That will be on February 26 starting at 6pm at 223 North Main Street in Kenton. The guest speaker is Dr. David Strittmatter.
The Ohio Farm Bureau is accepting applications for its Bill and Helen Swank Scholarship. It is in honor of Dr. C. William Swank who was the Ohio Farm Bureau executive vice president from 1968-1996, and he served the Farm Bureau for a total of 40 years. A Kenton man was involved in a rollover crash that occurred Thursday morning in Union County. According to the report from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Kipton Sharp lost control of his vehicle while driving south on State Route 31. Indian Lake State Park will host a Maple Syrup Festival next month. The hours are 8am until 2pm on Saturday, March 21 and 8am until 1pm on Sunday, March 22 at Indian Lake State Park Campground.
