Wood Debris Drop-Off Site at State Route 366 in Indian Lake is Now Closed

Credit: Indian Lake State Park A wood debris drop-off site located at the helipad parking lot location along State Route 366 at Indian Lake is now closed. After the March 14th tornado, the area had been temporarily used to help with cleanup efforts allowing residents, contractors and volunteers to drop off tornado-related wood debris. Graduation Ceremony Held for Sophomore Youth Leadership Students

Students in the Sophomore Youth Leadership program attended a graduation ceremony on Wednesday. The ceremony was held at Mid- Ohio Energy in Kenton. The presenter was Zach Jansen, owner of Scooters Coffee in Kenton. After the graduation ceremony, the students enjoyed a treat from Scooter's. The United Way of Hardin County organized the sophomore youth program.

Several Notices Served to Kenton Residents on Wednesday

Several notices were served to residents around Kenton on Wednesday regarding high grass and weeds or junk on the properties. Kenton Police Officers served six notices ordering that the grass and weeds be cut down. They were given five days to comply. Another four notices were served ordering the removal of junk or junk vehicles from the properties. Those residents were given 10 days to comply with the order.

Alzheimer’s Education Series Continues on May 16th in Kenton

The fifth in a six part Alzheimer's Education Series will be held next Thursday, May 16th. It will start at 6:00 that evening at Trustwell Living at Blanchard Place in Kenton. The May program is "Understanding and Responding to Dementia Related Behaviors". Those attending will receive tips to better communicate with people living with the disease.
