He was born on June 17, 1951 in Lima, Ohio to the late Victor and Vera (Henkle) Hurley.  On January 1, 1984 Doug married Tami Truman and she survives in Ada.   Doug retired from Roundys after working for thirty years.  He enjoyed volunteering at Lima Memorial Hospital.  He was a collector of John Deere tractors and Case knives. Benjamin Logan High School Girls Wrestlers Wrap Up Regular Season at Delaware Hayes Invitational

The Benjamin Logan girls wrestling team closed out its regular season over the weekend by competing at the Delaware Hayes Invitational. The Raiders finished 12th overall out of 29 teams. Individual placements included: Makenley Harker — 3rd Bella Hughes — 4th Livi Achor — 3rd Sophia Harris — 5th Addie Anderson and Madalene Campbell also competed for Benjamin Logan. The Lady Raiders will begin postseason competition this Friday at Greenview High School, where they will take part in sectionals.

Upper Scioto Valley High School to Host Boys Basketball Tournament Game Thursday Against New Knoxville

Upper Scioto Valley High School will host a Boys Basketball Tournament matchup this Thursday, February 26, as the Rams take on the New Knoxville Rangers. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. at Upper Scioto Valley High School. Ticket information: Adults: $10 Students: $5 All spectators are required to purchase a ticket. Passes will not be accepted. Tickets will be available for cash purchase at the door or online through the Ohio High School Athletic Association ticketing system.

Wyandot Medical Providers to Offer CPR Training at Forest-Jackson Public Library

Forest-Jackson Public Library Wyandot Medical Providers will provide CPR training, certification, and renewal for a small fee at Forest-Jackson Public Library on March 25. Upon registration, you will receive a link to additional resources that are required to complete. A QR code to register can be found on the flyer. Village of Forest Crews Continue Water Line Repairs

A crew in Forest is continuing to work on the water issue on West Julia Street in the village. They have begun shutting off other valves in that area. At this time, confirmed areas on South Patterson and South Davis are without water. Village officials apologized for the inconvenience. They will continue to isolate the issue and will update as soon as they can. Updates will be provided as they become available.

City of Kenton Government The 2026 State of the City Address for Kenton will be held Thursday, March 19. It will start at 6:30 that evening at the new Kenton Middle/High School Performing Arts Center. This will be a time to reflect on the past year, share updates on city projects and services, and outline priorities for the year ahead. Residents are encouraged to attend and stay informed. Four Resolutions, One Ordinance on Agenda for Tonight’s Kenton City Council Meeting

Kenton City Council is scheduled to meet this evening. A total of four resolutions and one ordinance will be on first reading. One of the resolutions permits the city to enter in a highway improvement project with the Ohio Department of Transportation.
