Women of the Moose in Lima Donates to Crossroads

The Women of the Moose in Lima made a donation to an organization that helps individuals and their family who have experienced domestic violence.   Hometown Stations reported that the Crossroads Crisis Center was presented a check for $3500 that was raised from the Moose's purse bingo.   Anyone who is experiencing domestic violence is encouraged to call the Crossroads Crisis Center at 419-228-4357.

Alliance’s Annual Dinner Meeting Happening in 2 Weeks

The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance Annual Dinner Meeting is set to take place in two weeks.   The event will be held from 6 until 8:30 Thursday February 28 in McIntosh Center at Ohio Northern University in Ada.   The evening is a celebration of members, distinguished community partners and Alliance accomplishments in 2018.   Tickets are $25 and RSVP is requested by February 22.   Call 419-673-4131 or email alliance@hccba.com.

Residents in Hancock County Receiving Scam Calls

Hancock County residents are being advised about a scam phone call taking place.   According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, some residents have received a call from someone claiming to be Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman, who is telling people they are in contempt of court.   The phone number shows up as 419-210-8600.   Residents receiving such calls are advised to disregard the call and hang up. Forest Library Benefits from Kroger Card

The Forest-Jackson Public Library is benefiting from families that have linked their Kroger card.   According to information from the library's Facebook page, 41 families have added the library to the store card, meaning every time they shop at Kroger, a portion of the sale goes to the library.   The library will be receiving a check for just over $200 generated in the last quarter.

The Hardin Northern FCCLA will present a Community Soup Meal on Tuesday February 19.   The meal will be served from 5 until 7 that evening during the High School Parent Teacher Conferences.   A variety of soups will be available, along with homemade jellies, brownies, lemonade and coffee.
