Lady Wildcats Snap Skid, Topple W-G 54-41

The Kenton Lady Wildcats got back on the winning track Saturday afternoon, defeating Waynesfield-Goshen 54-41 in non-league girls basketball play. The win snapped an eight-game losing streak for Kenton and improved the Lady Wildcats' record to 4-15. Kenton travels to River Valley on Tuesday and will host Elida in Western Buckeye League play on Thursday in a game that will be broadcast live on WKTN.

Ridgemont Stays Hot, Tops Riverdale 55-37

The Ridgemont girls basketball team won for the eighth time in its last nine outings, defeating Riverdale 55-37 Saturday afternoon. The Golden Gophers (11-9) got a game-high 24 points from Faith Jenkins while seven other players found the scoring column for Ridgemont. Riverdale (7-14) was led by Brooke Kuenzli's 14 points and Bry Vanden Bosch's 11 points.

The state-ranked Ottawa-Glandorf Titans overwhelmed the Kenton Wildcats, taking a 72-43 Western Buckeye League victory Friday night. The Titans, ranked fifth in the latest state poll, improve to 15-2 overall and remain atop the WBL with a 7-0 conference mark. The Wildcats are now 11-6 overall and 1-6 in loop play. A vandalism occurred Thursday morning at the Arlington First Federal Bank.   According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff's office, an unknown subject trespassed on bank property armed with a handgun and shot the exterior automated teller machine (ATM) at the bank.
