Kenton Middle School wrestlers competed in their last regular season tournament over the weekend at Elida field house. Kenton placed twelfth out of twenty teams with a score of 60 points. Top finishers for Kenton were Anthony Hunt, Kade Smith, Ethan Blankenship and Gavin Manns. The Kenton Middle School will hold a Family Day for 6th through 8th grade students. The event is being sponsored by Elks Lodge #157 and KMS. The day will provide fun for both teens and parents. A counterfeit bill was used at Porterhouse on West Lima Street over the weekend. According to the report, upon arrival, officers were shown a suspected counterfeit $5 bill by an employee. The bill was determined to be counterfeit and was confiscated to be turned over to the Secret Service. A chimney fire occurred at a residence in Wyandot County Sunday evening. Firefighters from the Sycamore Fire Department were dispatched to the 1300 block of County Highway 30 where the fire was located in a barn on the property. A weekend crash damaged two vehicles in Wyandot County over the weekend. A theft was reported at Walmart over the weekend. According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers were requested at the store where they were informed that a woman allegedly stole several clothing and miscellaneous items. The suspect, listed on the report as a Bellefontaine woman, is facing a charge of theft.

A Ribbon Cutting ceremony has been scheduled at the new Kenton Senior High School Athletic Complex. The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance will conduct the ceremony starting at noon on Friday February 15. The complex is located at 200 Hardin Avenue in Kenton.
