Two Killed in Marion County Plane Crash

MARION – The Marion Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal plane crash that occurred today at approximately 11:30 a.m. in Pleasant Township. The preliminary investigation showed a Piper Cherokee Six crashed into a bean field, approximately nine miles southwest of the Marion Municipal Airport. A Kenton woman was cited after an accident in the 34,000 block of State Route 31 in Union County Tuesday morning. According to the report from the Union County Sheriff's Office, a driver lost control of a vehicle and traveled off the road and struck a guardrail. The driver then fled the scene. The City of Kenton leaf pickup schedule has been released. Section one, which is the fourth ward begins November 13. The third ward is section two, and that begins November 20. Village of Alger officials announced that there is a misprint for the due date for the water bills that were just mailed.   The due date on the bills should say 'Due by NOV 15' instead of Oct. 15.   If you have one of the bills that says October 15, disregard that date.
