Bad weather forced the cancellation of classes on Wednesday, so the date has been rescheduled for Tuesday March 12 in the school's multimedia room. Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart was one of nearly all 88 Ohio Sheriffs to attend training in Columbus Wednesday. The day was part of the Buckeye State Sheriff's Association Training, which was mandatory for the county sheriff's. Attendees had the opportunity to hear from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Superintendent of the Ohio Bureau of Investigation and Identification Joe Morbitzer, Ohio Auditor Keith Faber and Governor Mike DeWine.
A new auxiliary officer was sworn in at the Wapakoneta Police Department on Wednesday. Derek Nelson was sworn in by Wapakoneta Mayor Tom Stinebaugh. Officer Nelson completed the Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Program at James Rhodes State College in October.
