Board of Elections to be Closed on Two Days Next Week

The Hardin County Board of Elections office has announced a couple of closing dates for next week. The office will be closed on Monday, September 4 in observance of Labor Day.   It will also be closed on Friday, September 8. That is for a voting demonstration at the Hardin County Fair.

The Hardin County Budget Commission is meeting tomorrow. The meeting will start at 10 Thursday morning. It will be held in the Conference Room, which is located in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse in downtown Kenton.

Community Coffee Scheduled for Sept 5

The next Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance Community Coffee will be held Tuesday September 5 at 8am. The meeting will be held in the Alliance Conference Room at 225 South Detroit Street in Kenton. Amy Miller, of Family Resource Center will be the guest speaker.

Dates Changed for Grove Cemetery Board Meetings

The Grove Cemetery Board has announced meeting date changes. The Board has canceled the meetings that were scheduled for September 4 and October 2.   There will be a regular meeting on September 20th that will cover both months. It will start at 5 PM at the Board Office at Grove Cemetery.

OSP Promotes Bicycle Safety

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminds motorists and bicyclists to share the road. In 2022, there were more than 1,000 bike-related incidents in Ohio.  For drivers, make sure to check for cyclists on the road and keep at least three feet between you and cyclists.  For cyclists, obey all traffic laws and always wear a bike helmet.

Rural Forest Man Arrested in Wyandot County

Jason Wyomic A Hardin County resident was arrested at a residence in Wyandot County Monday afternoon. According to a release, the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit, the Hardin County Sheriff's Office and the METRICH Enforcement Unit served an arrest warrant at a residence in the 12,000 block of County Highway 215 in rural Forest.
