Mt. Victory Man Arrested for Bond Violation in Union County

Daniel Sparling A Mt. Victory man was taken into custody in Union County on a bond violation. According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, deputies went to the Adult Probation Office on State Route 4 Wednesday morning to take custody of 49 year old Daniel P. Sparling. He was transported to the Tri County Regional Jail.

Maximum Age to Join OSP Increased

The maximum age to join the Ohio State Highway Patrol has increased. Cadets must turn 21 prior to being commissioned and must enter the training academy prior to their 40th birthday. The minimum requirements are that you must be a U.S. Citizen with a High School Diploma or GED. You must also have a valid driver's license with less than 6 points. Ridgemont's annual Golf Scramble has been scheduled. It will be held on Sunday May 28. The Shotgun Start is at 9 that morning at the Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. There will be door prizes and a meal is included with fees. The proceeds go to the Ridgemont Girls Basketball and Golf Teams.
