A Dunkirk man has been indicted for the murder of a Mt. Victory man in 2022. Anthony Allen Browne, age 50, was indicted on one count of aggravated murder in connection to the murder of Richard Whitaker Jr. on September 3 of 2022. A Dunkirk man was killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred around 9 Thursday night in Cessna Township. According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Joseph Bayliff was traveling east on County Road 90 when the motorcycle left the north side of the road. It traveled across a drainage ditch and entered onto State Route 309. Bayliff was ejected from the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation. The France Lake Memorial Bass Tournament has been rescheduled for Sunday, July 6 from 7am to 1pm. It was scheduled for June 8 but was cancelled due to the forecast of severe thunderstorms that day. The cost is $11 per person. They are only accepting the first 20 boats. Pre-registration is Saturday night from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. The 5th Annual Pride of Ada Fireworks and Food Trucks event will be held on Saturday, June 28. There will be 11 food trucks operating at War Memorial Park, and serving will start at 5pm. Bingo starts at 5:30pm in Shelter number 1. There will also be Romick Train rides and more. The fireworks will begin at 9:45pm that night.
