Average Hardin County Gas Price Edges Higher

The average gas price was up two cents a gallon today compared to a week ago in Hardin County. According to AAA, the average price in the county today is $2.96 a gallon, compared to $2.94 last Monday. That is the cheapest average price in our region. Union County has the most expensive average at $3.10 a gallon The average price around the state is at $3.000 a gallon and the national average is at $3.07 a gallon today.

Hardin County SOUP is serving meals this week at the Coterie in Downtown Kenton. Meals will be served each day through Friday from 11:30am until 1 in the afternoon. The meals are free. The Coterie is located in the former Table One Restaurant building in Kenton.

Longtime Kenton Veterinarian Passes Away

A longtime veterinarian in Kenton passed away this past Friday. Dr. William "Marty" Miller died at the age of 70. He was the owner of the Diamond-M Veterinary Clinic from 1976-2001. He also served as a board member and was involved with numerous organizations past and present. A funeral service will begin at 3 this Wednesday afternoon at the SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME where visitation will be held from 1 until the time of service.  Burial will follow in Grove Cemetery.  […]

Kenton School Board Meeting Tonight

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education will conduct its June board meeting tonight. Numerous personnel items are on the agenda. They include supplemental contracts for employee and non-employee positions. Several contracts for teaching positions within the district will be voted on by the board. Deb Purcell, from Ohio Hi-Point will speak to board members as well. The hybrid meeting will start at 7 this evening in the Administration Building.

USDA Reminds Ohio Producers to File Crop Acreage Reports

Trash and Recycling Pick Up Delayed by a Day in Forest

Republic Services trash and recycle routes in Forest will run on a one-day delay this week.   Trash will run Tuesday and recycle will run on Wednesday.   Residents should have trash and recycle to the curb by 6 am both days. Village officials apologized for any inconvenience and stated that they appreciate the residents' cooperation.
