OHIO BMV Renewal Extensions About to Expire

Last year the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles pushed back the annual requirement for driver’s license and vehicle tag renewals due to COVID-19.  The extensions granted by the State of Ohio BMV are about to expire. The exemption for late renewal expires at midnight on June 30. While registrations can be renewed entirely online, driver’s licenses cannot and will need to be done at the BMV.

Blanchard Township/Dunkirk Recycling this Thursday

The next Blanchard Township/Dunkirk Recycling day will be this Thursday June 24. It will be in the parking lot of the former Price Funeral Home in Dunkirk.    The recycling truck will be there between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM The project is sponsored by the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District in cooperation with the Blanchard Township Trustees and the Village of Dunkirk.

Allen County Sheriff’s Office National Night Out Scheduled August 3

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting its 3rd annual National Night Out at the Allen County Fairgrounds on Tuesday August 3.  This year’s event will run from 5:30 to 9:00 PM. Marion Woman Seriously Injured in Thursday Morning Crash

A serious injury crash occurred on County Road 165 in Union County late Thursday morning. According to the report from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 45 year old Kristi Marshall, of Marion, drove from a private drive onto 165 , and her car was struck by an eastbound semi being operated by 46 year old Kirt Penhorwood, of Bellefontaine.
