A free interactive movie night is scheduled this evening at the Alger Public Library. The movie Finding Nemo will start at 6 this evening. Kenton City Council Met For There 11th Regular Session Monday Evening

After the meeting's opening formalities, Commissioner Fred Rush announced Hardin County had applied for and received monies from The American Rescue Plan. The county is due to receive just over $6 million over the next two years with half of the amount already being received and the other half coming next year. Check Backseat to Ensure that You Don’t Leave a Child in Hot Vehicle

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding everyone to never leave a child in a car. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2018 and 2019, there were a record number of hot car deaths recorded. During that time, 53 children died each year which was the most in 20 years You should always check the backseat when exiting your vehicle.

OhioMeans Jobs Hardin County held an Open House today to show off its recently renovated space in the Courthouse Annex Building in Downtown Kenton. Weekend Crash Claims the Life of Marion County Man

A crash in Marion County on Sunday claimed the life of a man. According to a release from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 32 year old Juan Carlos Lopez-Ortiz lost control of his car while driving north on Richland Pike. The car went off the east side of the road where it struck a mailbox and a tree. Lopez-Ortiz was transported to Marion General Hospital where he later died. Marion Woman Seriously Injured in Weekend Crash in Marion

Another weekend crash in the City of Marion seriously injured a Marion woman. According to that report from the Marion Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 35 year old Donya R. Holt was driving south on Main Street in Marion and failed to yield for a red light at Church Street. Her car was struck by an eastbound vehicle being driven by 24 year old Jacob K. Kenton Man Arrested in Upper Sandusky

A Kenton man was arrested over the weekend following an incident in Upper Sandusky. According to a report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to Wyandot Memorial Hospital to assist the Upper Sandusky Police Department. Upon arrival, the male, identified as Cory Treen, was restrained with both hands cuffed to the bed. Bank in Lima Robbed this Past Saturday

A robbery occurred at a bank in Lima over the weekend. According to a release from the Allen County Sheriff's Office, deputies were dispatched to Chase Bank on Harding Highway to investigate. Employees stated that an unknown, white male entered the business wearing a camo hat, black mask, and an Ohio State t-shirt.  He approached the bank teller and handed a note demanding money.  The suspect then fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money. Murray Park Splash Pad Closed Until Repairs are Completed

The Murray Park Splash Pad in Kenton is currently not operating. City officials announced on Facebook over the weekend that the water feature is under repair. They did not indicate the nature of the repairs. The Splash Pad will be closed until further notice.
