Gas Station Robbed Early this Morning in Findlay

A robbery occurred at a gas station in Findlay early this morning. According to the Findlay Police Department report, the suspect was at Stop and Go located at 800 West Trenton Avenue and asked for change. When the register was opened, he is said to have grabbed money out of the register and ran out of the business. Crash in Union County Injures Marysville Man

A Marysville man was injured in a crash that occurred Tuesday afternoon on State Route 4 in Union County. According to the report from the Union County Sheriff's Office, Michael Todd, age 50, was stopped for traffic waiting to turn left into the driveway of his residence, when his car was struck from behind by a northbound car being driven by 38 year old Kyle Gardner, of Galion. Hardin Half Marathon Scheduled for September 26

The Hardin Half Marathon, 5K, 1 mile Fun Run/Walk, 25 mile bike ride is scheduled for September 26. It will start at the Shopping Plaza in Kenton. New this year are mile marker sponsorships at $50 each. Quest Federal Credit Union is the Presenting Sponsor again this year. Tons of Fun Travel is the Timing Sponsor. USV Releases District’s Continuity Plan

The Upper Scioto Valley School District released its continuity plan for the 2021 through 2024 school years. The plan notes that the district will continue to educate students in the classrooms in person every day that it is safe to do so, and they will work with the Kenton-Hardin Health Department to make decisions on health related issues. June 11 is Food Truck Friday at Union County Sheriff’s Office

The Union County Sheriff's Office is hosting A Food Truck Friday event this Friday June 11. It will be from 11:30am until 1 Friday at the Sheriff's Office located at 221 West 5th Street in Marysville. The event will feature mexican street food and ice cream. 12% of the food sales will benefit Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Seating will be based on capacity.

Registration is now open for Hardin County Family YMCA Fall Soccer. You can register at the Y or online on the Y's website.  For Black Swamp Travel Soccer, registration must be done online through the Y's website.  Once you complete the YMCA registration you will be provided with a link.  The deadline for registration for Black Swamp is July 16.

Prok Rind Heritage Festival to be Held June 18 & 19 in Harrod

The two day Pork Rind Heritage Festival is scheduled to get started in Harrod on June 18. The event offers family fun, entertainment and Rudolph Foods' famous popped pork rinds.  Live entertainment and events for the whole family will be featured, including helicopter flights, pony rides, craft show and much more. A parade begins at noon on Saturday June 19.

Next Recycling Day in Dunkirk Scheduled for June 24

The next Blanchard Township/Dunkirk Recycling day will be on Thursday June 24.. It will be in the parking lot of the former Price Funeral Home in Dunkirk.    The recycling truck will be there between the hours of 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM The project is sponsored by the North Central Ohio Solid Waste District in cooperation with the Blanchard Township Trustees and the Village of Dunkirk.
