Alger Clean-Up Day Scheduled for May 8

The Village of Alger is having it's clean-up day next weekend. It will be held on Saturday, May 8 from 8:00 a.m. until noon.   Dumpsters will be provided behind the Village garage. You must bring picture identification and a copy of your water bill to show residency.   No hazardous materials such as tires, batteries and paint will be accepted.

ONU Offering Day Camps for 6-8 Graders Exploring Cyber Security Field

Ohio Northern University is offering two five day camps in June. They are for children in grades 6-8 this Fall who are interested in exploring the field of cyber security. The Day Camps will be in person at no cost to the participants. Each camp is limited to 20 participants. Fully Vaccinated People No Longer Required to Quarantine if Exposed to COVID-19

Governor Mike DeWine announced on Tuesday that any Ohioan who has been fully vaccinated will no longer have to quarantine if they are exposed to someone with COVID-19. This health order applies to all adults, except those who are in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or other congregate care settings. Nursing homes and long-term care facilities, including staff and residents, should continue to quarantine following CDC guidance. Findlay Man Accused of Stabbing Two People in Findlay

Two people were injured after being stabbed in Findlay late Monday morning. WFIN Radio reported that 27 year old Marissa Sanchez and 23 year old Federico Palacios, both of Findlay, were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital after they were stabbed at a residence on Oakwood Drive in that city. The Hancock County Sheriff's Office announced that 24 year old Austin Palacios was arrested on charges of felonious assault. The incident remains under investigation.

Alvada Man Injured in Wyandot County Crash

An Alvada man was injured in a two vehicle crash Monday evening in Wyandot County. According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 50 year old Tim Kohl was driving north on Township Highway 95, when vehicle, being operated by 31 year old Sean Kirkpatrick, of Arlington, pulled into his path from a stop sign on Township Highway 21. The collision caused disabling damage to both vehicles. Kohl was transported to Wyandot Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. […]
