OSP Plans Increased Patrols Over Memorial Day Weekend

COLUMBUS - During the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be highly visible on Ohio’s roadways to promote safety. As part of the Click it or Ticket campaign troopers are encouraging drivers to wear their safety belts. The campaign began May 13 and will continue through June 2. Last year in Ohio, 17 fatal crashes killed 18 people during the Memorial Day weekend. Of those fatalities, seven were OVI-related and seven were unbelted. Troopers are also […]

Armed Robbery Occurs at Gas Station in Findlay

An armed robbery occurred early Thursday morning at the Mobile One Gas Station on North Main Street in Findlay.   According to a release, a male victim had just closed the station and while leaving, two black males approached him, displayed a handgun and demanded money.   The two suspects took an undisclosed amount of the victim's money and left in a black, four door style passenger car.   The two male suspects were described as both being middle aged, […]

Walmart Kenton Reopening General Merchandise Section

Walmart in Kenton will be reopening the general merchandise side of the store on Friday.   For the time being, that will exclude apparel.   The store will offer limited selections as they work to continue to completely restock as soon as possible.   The general merchandise section has been closed since a fire on May 6. Kenton Man Arrested Following Domestic Incident

A Kenton man was arrested following a domestic disturbance Wednesday night.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, an officer said as he was parked in the Autozone parking lot in the 300 block of West Franklin Street, he observed an altercation in the alley next to Jimmy's Pizza.   After an investigation, 27 year old Michael Cunningham was arrested for domestic violence.   Cunningham was transported to the Multi County Jail in Marion.

Crash Damages Two Vehicles in Downtown Kenton

A driver was cited following a crash in downtown Kenton Wednesday morning.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department,  35 year old Danielle Miller, of Kenton, was driving west on Franklin and swerved her car to the left to avoid hitting a semi that was stopped for a red light at Detroit Street.   Her vehicle struck a car that was stopped in the left turn lane being driven by 42 year old Brant Meade, of Marion.
