Heavy Rain Leading to Flooding Concerns

Heavy rain is forecast to continue today, and a Flood Watch remains in effect until Friday morning.   Part of the region is experiencing high water. No Primary for Hardin County

The filing deadline for candidates in the May Primary has passed.   According to information from the Hardin County Board of Elections, candidates in the mayor's race in Kenton will be unopposed.   Taking out petitions for mayor in Kenton were Lynn Jones Webb and Joseph Hord.   Jones, a Republican, and Hord, a Democrat, will face off in the general election this fall.   Incumbent Ada Mayor David Retterer, a Republican, will be unopposed in the primary. Man Accused of Sending Inappropriate Photos to Teen Girl

A Kenton man is facing charges following an incident reported to Kenton police Wednesday night.   According to the report, the mother of a 16 year old girl told officers that the man sent inappropriate photos to her daughter.   The suspect is listed as a 45 year old man.   He has not yet been charged, and the incident remains under investigation.

Woman Assaulted in Domestic Violence Incident

A domestic violence incident was reported to Kenton police Wednesday.   According to the report, an employee of Hardin Memorial Hospital called the department to report a patient who had been assaulted at her residence sometime last week.   The 78 year old woman suffered apparent minor injuries.   The suspect was listed as her granddaughter, but no charges have been filed at this time.

Some Residents in Ada Under Boil Water Advisory

Some residents in Ada are under a boil water advisory.   The advisory affects residents in from 900 to 1012 South Main Street in the village.   There was a line pressure drop on Tuesday due to a water line break. As a precaution, the advisory in in effect.   Residents impacted should boil the water before consuming.   The advisory will be in effect until further notice.

Hall of Justice in Lima Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat

The Hall of Justice in Lima was evacuated Wednesday due to a bomb threat.   Hometown Stations reported that that the threat was made to the section that houses municipal court and the police department.   Lima Police Chief Kevin Martin said that all non-essential personnel were evacuated from the building for a little over an hour Wednesday morning.   The Allen County Bomb Squad searched the building, but nothing was found, and the threat was deemed non-credible.   The […]

Wyandot County Sheriff’s Releases January Activity Report

The Wyandot County Sheriff's Office released its activity report for the month of January.   One person was killed in a crash, and five people were injured in 3 separate crashes.   28 adults were arrested on felony charges during the month.   23 new concealed carry permits were issued, 13 were renewed and 1 was suspended.   163 complaints were investigated in the month of January.
