OSP Training Academy Recognized

The Ohio State Highway Patrol's Training Academy became only the 19th law enforcement training organization in the state to be recognized as a STAR Academy. That recognition came late last week from Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost.  The achievement is given to law enforcement academies who go above and beyond the requirements of basic training.

COLUMBUS—State Representative Jon Cross (R-Kenton) is pleased to announce that the City of Kenton will receive an Ohio BUILDS (Broadband, Utilities, and Infrastructure for Local Development Success) Water Infrastructure Grant. Kenton and Forest to Receive Grants for Critical Water Infrastructure Projects

The City of Kenton and the Village of Forest will benefit from a total $135 million in grants that will support 90 critical water infrastructure projects in 64 counties throughout the state. Ambush Style Shooting Being Investigated in Lima; One Woman Injured

One person was injured after multiple gunshots were fired at a gathering in Lima Wednesday night. According to a release from the Lima Police Department, officers were dispatched at around 11:45 pm to the 1000 block of East North Street in that city. USV Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Continues

The Upper Scioto Valley School's Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Fundraiser continues. Orders are due by this Monday July 24. A dozen original glazed doughnuts is $10 and a dozen specialty doughnuts is $12. Orders can be picked up July 28 from 5 until 7pm at the Fieldhouse Lobby. The proceeds benefit the Upper Scioto Valley Junior High and High school Cheer Programs.
