Kenton Woman Dies Following Thursday Afternoon Crash

A Kenton woman died following a traffic crash in Kenton Thursday afternoon. According to information from Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, a car driven by 87 year old Kikuko T. Hollan was eastbound on Espy Street and travelled across Wayne where and struck a tree in the yard of a house at 501 South Wayne Street. Two Arrested in Marion County Drug Task Force Operation

Bellefontaine Man Sentenced for Workers’ Comp Fraud

A Logan County man was sentenced for workers' compensation fraud.   According to a release, on the day he was sentenced to prison for breaking and entering, gross sexual imposition, burglary and other charges, 32 year old Joseph A. Wilson, of Bellefontaine, was also ordered to pay nearly $6,400 in restitution to his employer and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) for collecting disability benefits while secretly working another job. Family Resource Center Hires Daytime Crisis Response Team

The Family Resource Center has hired a daytime crisis response staff to respond to local hospitals, schools and other locations in Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin Counties. The crisis response staff will be on location within 30-60 minutes after a call is placed.   The staff will assist in resolving any crisis situation with the youth and person calling whether that's at a school or hospital. Three people have been arrested following recent operations by the Hardin County Crime Task Force.   According to a release, a traffic stop was initiated in the 4000 block of County Road 60 that resulted in the arrest of a female who was found to be in possession of 39 hits of heroin. Kenton Man Sentenced in Common Pleas Court

A Kenton man was sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.   According to the document from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office:   29 year old Adam Plymale was sentenced to 12 months in prison after being convicted on one count of escape earlier this month.   Since the act occurred after he was released from prison and while on post-release control from an earlier case, and given Plymale's extensive criminal history, he was sentenced to an additional 426 days […]

Kenton Resident Victim of Social Security Fraud

The social security number of a Kenton resident was used in a fraudulent manner.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, the mother of the 19 year old victim told officers the incident was discovered on a credit report when her son applied for residency at a local apartment complex.   The victim is attempting to obtain further information as to the extent of the fraudulent activity.   The incident remains under investigation.

Ridgemont FFA Recognized as Top 10 Premier Chapter

Ridgemont FFA was recognized this morning as an Ohio Top 10 Premier Chapter.   Advisor Stephanie Jolliff said the selection is based on an application process in which the chapter's top 9 activities were submitted.   Ridgemont FFA will now present the activites live at the State Convention in Columbus.
