Average Gas Prices Edging Higher

The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County increased 6 cents a gallon this week.   AAA reported the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas was $2.11 today, up from last Monday's $2.05, but that was still the cheapest price in our region by one penny over the Allen County average.   The most expensive is in Marion County at $2.35 a gallon.   The statewide average is at $2.20 a gallon, and the […]

Driver Cited Following Roll Over Crash in Kenton

A rural Kenton resident escaped serious injury in a roll over crash that occurred late Friday afternoon.   The crash occurred just before 4:30 on Carrol at Glendale Streets in Kenton.   The complete report is not available at this time, but according to information on the police department's daily log sheet, Corey M. Eversole was cited for an improper turn.   BKP and the Kenton Fire Department assisted at the scene.

Marion Man Arrested on Warrant From Hardin County

A Marion man was arrested over the weekend in that county on a warrant from Hardin County.   According to the Kenton Police Department, officers were notified by the Marion County Sheriff's Office that 29 year old Donald Redmon II was arrested by their deputies following a foot pursuit.   Redmon was transported to the Hardin County Sheriff's Office after the warrant was served.

Kenton Woman Arrested on Warrant

A Kenton woman was arrested in Logan County on a warrant through the Kenton Police Department.   According to the report, an officer was dispatched to the Hardin/Logan County line to take custody of 34 year old Rachael McGrath.   She was arrested on the warrant by deputies from the Logan County Sheriff's Office.

A Richwood man was arrested following a two-month investigation into alleged drug trafficking that was occurring at the Forrest Lane Apartment.   According to a release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, detectives from the Multi-Agency Drug Enforcement (M.A.D.E.) Emergency crews are on the scene of a rollover crash. This occurred on Carrol Street at Glendale Street in Kenton. BKP and the Kenton Fire Department are assisting at the scene. The Kenton Police Department is conducting the investigation. No other details are available at this time.

Suspect Being Sought in Arlington Bank ATM Vandalism

A vandalism occurred Thursday morning at the Arlington First Federal Bank.   According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff's office, an unknown subject trespassed on bank property armed with a handgun and shot the exterior automated teller machine (ATM) at the bank.
