Eli Yoder The featured speaker for the Hour of Inspiration service at the Hardin County Fair has been announced. Eli Yoder will speak starting at 10:30am on Sunday September 13 in the grandstand on the fairgrounds in Kenton. He is the author of "Undeceived: From Amish Tradition to Christ's Redemption." David Kiper The Hardin County Fair Board announced that longtime poultry committee member David Kiper is the esteemed honoree for the 2026 Hardin County Fair. Kiper said he was very surprised and very thankful for the recognition. His love for the fair began in 1992. Kiper's full-time job is being a pastor. Deputy Robert Digby and Sheriff Keith Everhart Hardin County Sheriff Keith Everhart announced that Deputy Robert Digby has officially graduated from the Ohio Police Officer Basic Academy. Over the past five months, Deputy Digby has completed over 740 hours of rigorous training. United Way of Hardin County's Day of Caring takes place this Friday August 21, and volunteers are still needed. They are looking for help with painting, weeding, Christmas lights detangling and more. Upper Scioto Valley Ambulance District is working on a special project for the new station and your help is needed. A History Wall honoring each of the Coordinators and Chiefs who helped build the district over the years is being created.
