Ohio Certifies One Agency, Recertifies 17 Others for Collaborative Board’s Standards

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Office of Criminal Justice Services announced yesterday the certification of one Ohio law enforcement agency for state standards established by the Ohio Collaborative Community-Police Advisory Board. Seventeen additional agencies achieved their recertification. Agencies completing the certification process have adopted and implemented the initial two standards regarding use of force and hiring and recruitment while the recertification process takes place on a revolving, three to four-year cycle. Average Gas Prices Spike Again

Another week, another sharp increase of average prices for a gallon of gasoline. According to AAA, https://gasprices.aaa.com/?state=OH, the average U.S. price is $4.54 a gallon today, which is an increase of 32 cents since last Wednesday. The Ohio average is $4.81 a gallon, an increase of 59 cents in one week. Hardin County’s average price per gallon is at $4.55 a gallon, a big increase from last week’s $4.07 a gallon. Ohio School Safety Center expands access to life-saving training with STOP THE BLEED® Educational License

(COLUMBUS, Ohio) – The Ohio Department of Public Safety’s (ODPS) Ohio School Safety Center (OSSC) has expanded its life-saving training capability by partnering with a national campaign called STOP THE BLEED® that encourages bystanders to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
