A town-wide clean-up day has been scheduled for June 17 in the Village of Forest. Volunteers are needed from 10am until 1 that afternoon. They will be picking up trash around the entire town. The Village will be providing gloves and trash bags. If you are able to volunteer your time and efforts, contact the village office.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture and Ohio State University Extension offices are kicking off the fourth year of the Ohio Victory Gardens program. Due to high demand, the program has expanded to include 50, up from 42 counties last year. A Kenton girl's work to raise money for a good cause paid off. Steena Dudek set up a stand last week selling lemonade and cookies to the public.
