A town-wide clean-up day has been scheduled for June 17 in the Village of Forest. Volunteers are needed from 10am until 1 that afternoon.   They will be picking up trash around the entire town.   The Village will be providing gloves and trash bags.   If you are able to volunteer your time and efforts, contact the village office.

Extension Offices Kick Off Ohio Victory Gardens Program

The Ohio Department of Agriculture and Ohio State University Extension offices are kicking off the fourth year of the Ohio Victory Gardens program.  Due to high demand, the program has expanded to include 50, up from 42 counties last year.  Hardin County OSU Extension will be giving away Ohio Victory Garden seed packets containing a combination of carrots, cucumber, lettuce, and sunflowers.  Seeds can currently be picked up at the […]

Pottery Sale at Bluffton University

Bluffton University students will be selling original pieces of pottery outside of Sauder Visual Arts Center this weekend. The sales will take place from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. April 28 through the 30. Kenton Girl’s Lemonade Stand a Big Success

A Kenton girl's work to raise money for a good cause paid off. Steena Dudek set up a stand last week selling lemonade and cookies to the public. The stand was set up at the Kenton Church of the Nazarene, and after a day of sales, a total of just over $4500 was raised. The proceeds will go to the Kenton City Schools lunch program.
