Ohio State Highway Patrol Reports 12 Fatal Crashes Over Labor Day Weekend

The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported 12 deaths in 12 fatal crashes over the four-day Labor Day weekend reporting period. According to preliminary Patrol statistics, at least one of the fatal crashes was OVI-related. In a continued effort to lower that number to zero, troopers made 426 arrests for impaired driving and 70 for drug-related charges. Kenton Moose Lodge Presents Donations to First Responders, Veterans and Food Bank

Local first responders and veterans benefited from money raised at the Kenton Moose Lodge Car Show. Car show committee members delivered the checks on Tuesday. Each recipient received $1000. Over 11 years, the car shows have raised a total of $100,000. Also Tuesday, the Kenton Moose Lodge delivered their quarterly donations to the West Ohio Food Bank. Two checks totaling just over $22,700 were presented to the organization that serves 11 counties, including Hardin.

Day Two of Hardin County Fair Features Petting Zoo and Harness Racing

Hardin County Fair It is day number 2 of the 2026 Hardin County Fair. Exhibit buildings opened at 9:00 am and rides started at noon. A petting zoo will be set up in the Children's Area from noon until 9:00 pm. The Goat Show will be held at 2:00 pm. The Sheep Show & Market Lamb Show will be held at 5:00 pm. The highlight in the grandstand tonight is Harness Racing start at 5:00 pm.
