West Ohio Food Bank is seeking donations in its quest to serve 19,990 children annually through their School Pantry and Backpack Programs. The food bank serves residents in an 11-county area, which includes Hardin. Your gift now will help ensure that kids and families have access to nutritious food. Flood Warning Replaces Flash Flood Warning for the Area

A flash flood warning has expired, but a flood warning has been issued for our area. The flash flood warning expired at 9:30 this morning, and the National Weather Service then issued the warning until 3:15 this (Thursday) afternoon. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain has fallen in some areas, and that combined with saturated ground and runoff is causing flooding. Body of Woman Found in a Pond on Her Property in Logan County

A missing 63-year-old Zanesfield woman was found dead in a pond on her property on Tuesday. According to information from the Logan County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to 7782 State Route 559 at just before 10 Tuesday night in reference to a missing woman. When deputies arrived, they searched a pond on the property and found her in the pond. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. She was identified as Marianne R. Saxton, 63 of that address.
