Mosquito spraying got started last week in the Village of McGuffey. That start last Wednesday will continue every Wednesday at around 10pm. Village officials indicated that the spraying operation will last 10 to 12 weeks.

The deceased suspect from the officer involved shooting incident this past Tuesday in Lima has been positively identified. Marion County Office Manager to Pay Back Over $4K to BWC

COLUMBUS — Pamela MacMichael, 54, of Caledonia, Ohio was ordered to pay restitution of $4,452.11 to the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) and serve 36 months of community control, nonreporting. BWC’s Special Investigations Department opened an investigation after its Intelligence Unit identified that Pamela MacMichael potentially earned wages during periods she had received BWC disability benefits. Ora "Bud" Winzenried A longtime business leader of Hardin County has passed away. Ora "Bud" Winzenried died this past Wednesday. He was the CEO of Kenton Structural and Ornamental Iron Works. He worked for the company from 1957 until his retirement in 2004. Winzenried was active in the Kenton Jaycees and the Kenton Lions Club. Driver Arrested on Warrant After Crash in Kenton

A Kenton man was arrested after an accident in Kenton Thursday evening. According to the Kenton Police Department Daily Log Sheet, the crash occurred in the 900 block of Fontaine Street. Rocky Burton was arrested on a warrant from Allen County. Burton was also cited for driving under suspension and for an assured clear distance ahead violation. There were no injuries as a result of the crash.
