Riverdale Wrestling Dynamic Duo Dominates BVC

H/T Riverdale Local Schools The Riverdale wrestling duo of Grady Phelps and Kydin Reed have been impressive throughout the entire season, and they continued to showcase their talents at this year’s Blanchard Valley Conference tournament. Phelps, awarded the BVC Wrestler of the Year, won the championship in the 144-pound weight class, while Reed claimed the title in the 190-pound division. Both wrestlers will now compete at the OHSAA state tournament.

Reppart Named Second Team All-District 8

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders traveled to Troy High School on Wednesday night to take on Dunbar in the first round of the Division IV girls basketball tournament.  In a very physical back-and-forth game, the Raiders aggressively attacked the basket and played great team defense on their way to a 43-40 victory. St. Mary’s Girls Bowling Headed to State

H/T Varsity Lanes The St. Mary's girls varsity bowling team is headed to the state tournament after a hard-fought district win. The Riders took 1st place by just 5 pins. Kaleigh Caywood took 2nd place as an individual while her teammate Kallie McKinley finished 5th. The JV Riders previously took 2nd place at the JV State Championship.

Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame to Award Two Scholarships

The Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame announced that it will once again award two $500 scholarships to one male and one female graduating from a Hardin County school this year. Interested students can reach out to their guidance counselors. The Hardin County Sports Hall of Fame class of 2025 included the 1975-76 Ada boys' basketball team, Charles Renner, Darren Gilbert, Sue Feltzer, Gayle Lauth, Jeff Hastings, and Jim West.

Four Falcons Receive All-BVC Honors: Bonham Player of the Year

Four players from the Riverdale Falcons girls' basketball team were recognized by the Blanchard Valley Conference. Dylann Thacker and Annalese Woodruff received honorable mentions, while Claire Inbody was selected for the second team. Marissa Bonham earned a spot on the first team. Additionally, Bonham was first-team all-district 6 and named Player of the Year in the BVC, marking the first time a Falcon has received the honor in girls' basketball.
