Softball Tournament - Hardin Northern vs USV 5/21/26 WKTN Sports
H/T Ada Bulldogs Ada’s Kayleb Hickman capped off his high school track career with a strong 2nd place finish in the 400 meters at this year's Division V OHSAA Jesse Owens Track & Field Championships. His impressive time of 49.45 not only earned him a spot on the podium but also broke a school record that had stood since 2002.
Allen East’s Jackson Werling claimed the Division V state title in discus at the OHSAA Jesse Owens Track & Field Championships, breaking his own school record with a throw of 192' 5". The talented sophomore also qualified for state in shot put.
The 2025-2026 athletic season in the Western Buckeye League again proved to be very competitive, as shown by the final point standings for the prestigious Superior Credit Union All Sports Trophy. With consistent performances across multiple sports, the Celina Bulldogs emerged as the overall champions, finishing with 149.5 total points. The Western Buckeye League announced its 2026 Softball All-League teams, with three Kenton Wildcats earning well-deserved honors. Brayla Butler was named to the 1st team, Alexis Ratliff secured a spot on the 2nd team, and Emori Criner received an honorable mention. Adyson Van De Keere of St. Marys earned WBL Player of the Year honors, while Celina’s Renee Williams was named Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to their second consecutive WBL title.

Gavin Sealscott, Quinlyn Spearman, and Addi Manns will represent the Kenton Wildcats at the OHSAA Jesse Owens Track & Field State Championships. Sealscott clocked a personal best of 10.89 in the 100-meter to take 5th and secure his spot at state. Manns qualified in two events, placing 6th in the 1600 with a personal best of 5:10.64 and earning 2nd in the 3200 with another personal best of 11:04.80. Kolten Evans is headed to the OHSAA Jesse Owens Track & Field State Championships, qualifying individually in the 1600-meter and 800-meter, where he set a new school record with a time of 1:58.10, as well as in the 4x800 relay alongside Cale Young, Cody Flowers-Barger, and Gabe Donaldson. Grant Inbody also earned a spot at state in the discus. The athletes will keep their amazing seasons going at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on June 4 and 5.
Ridgemont football is hosting a fundraiser to help cover the cost of equipment, team apparel, and other non-budgeted expenses. Three players from the Riverdale baseball team earned BVC honors for the 2026 season. Grady Phelps made the 2nd team, while Jackson Ambrose and Carter Vent picked up honorable mentions. Phelps also snagged an honorable mention for District 9.
