A Lima woman was killed Monday night in a crash that occurred on State Route 65 in Allen County’s Bath Township.

According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 43 year old Brenda Linser failed to negotiate a curve while traveling north on 65.

Her vehicle ended up off the road where it struck a utility pole and multiple trees before overturning.

Linser was not wearing a safety belt and was ejected from the vehicle.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol, drugs and distractions are suspected to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted on scene by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, Bath Township Fire and EMS, H&H Funeral Services and Able Wrecker Service.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol would like to remind motorists to not drive impaired, stay focused on driving and to wear a properly adjusted seat belt.
