Drugs and a Firearm Seized, Two Arrested After Traffic Stop in Hancock County Thursday Morning

A couple from Detroit, Michigan were arrested Thursday morning after a traffic stop in Hancock County.

According to a release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a car on State Route 15 in Jackson Township for a speeding violation.

During the traffic stop, criminal indicators were observed and the Sheriff’s Office K-9 was deployed and alerted on the vehicle where a front seat passenger was sitting.

She was identified as 30 year old Jessica Williams, who was found to be in possession of a Loaded Firearm, 23 grams of Heroin, 8 grams of Crack Cocaine and 3 grams of Methamphetamine.

She was arrested and taken to the Hancock County Justice Center on charges of Possession of Heroin, Possession of Crack Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine and Improper Handling of Firearm in a Motor Vehicle.

The driver, 27 year old Anthony Norman, was arrested on a warrant through Michigan.

He has been cited for no driver’s license and speeding.
