Students in Cole Crawford’s Applied Construction & Manufacturing Technology class at Ada High School have been putting their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test.

Over the past few weeks, they’ve learned how to interpret engineering drawings and recently took on a challenge with no dimensions provided.

Using their knowledge of drawing scales and architect tools, students calculated measurements, cut parts on the miter saw, assembled with glue and nails, and finished their projects with paint or stain.

The result was a custom-built wall shelf they can proudly display.
