Ada Occupational Therapy and ONU Engineering Team Up to Support Student Movement
Ada Occupational Therapy recently teamed up with Ohio Northern University’s engineering program to create innovative movement supports for Ada School students.
Ada Elementary Occupational Therapist Nichole Dearth along with Dr. France and ONU engineering students redesigned chair bands for students who benefit from movement, making them industrial-strength.
After meeting together to discuss functionality and student needs, the ONU students put their engineering skills to work.
The result was new sets of durable chair bands that will help students stay focused, regulated, and ready to learn through movement.
