AMVETS Post 1994 Congratulates 2025 Americanism Contest Winners
Amvets Post 1994 congratulated the 2025 Americanism Contest winners.
They are Payzlee Holcomb – Essay grades 6 through 12, Bella Ray – Poster grades 2 through 5, Ayden Thompson – Flag Coloring Kindergarten or 1st grade and Melanie McCloud and Nova Crowe – Flag Coloring Post preschool age 3 and 4.
Winners at the Post level will be sent to District.
District winners will move on to State, then to National with a chance to win a trip to the Freedom Foundation Conference.
The Amvets National Americanism contest is held every year.
They would like to have more children participate next year.
The 2026 theme is “What does it mean to be an American”, and anyone that would like to participate can contact the Post at 417 West Espy Street in Kenton in October.
All children who attend public, private, parochial schools, or homeschooled are eligible to enter.
