The case involving an 18-year-old Dayton resident who was involved in an officer involved shooting incident last month has been bound over to Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
Jayden Shannon was charged with two counts of failing to comply with the order or signal of a police officer and one count each of obstructing official business and receiving stolen property following the incident that occurred on May 20.
According to a release from Kenton Police Chief Dennis Musser, the shooting occurred after officers responded to the parking lot of Ralphie’s Sports Eatery in Kenton to investigate a report of a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Lima earlier that day.
Following the shooting, Shannon allegedly fled the area in the stolen vehicle, leading officers on a pursuit before crashing into a residence near West North Street and North Detroit Street.
He then fled on foot and was apprehended in the 100 block of North Market Street.
His bond from Hardin County Municipal Court was continued and transferred to the Court of Common Pleas.
Shannon will be arraigned on the charges Tuesday June 17 at 1:45pm in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.
