Bellefontaine media sources are reporting that all criminal charges against a former Logan County Sheriff’s deputy were dismissed with prejudice this week.
John Puckett, of Kenton, was arrested in July of this year after an investigation by the Kenton Police Department concerning a domestic incident.
Logan County Sheriff Randy Dodds placed Puckett on paid administrative leave while the case was investigated, and WPKO Radio reported that Puckett was terminated from the Sheriff’s Office on August 1 of this year.
Arbitration on his appeal of the termination is scheduled for December 3 according to the station.
No information about what led to the dismissal of charges has been provided at this time.
